Food will always be an essential aspect of travel. Of course, when you visit a new place, you want to see the attractions and eat at the local restaurants. If you're looking for new flavours while on vacation, we've compiled a list of cafes and restaurants near our Peregian Beach accommodation.

Skål Coffee

To begin, here's a Cafe & Espresso Bar in Peregian Beach that opens early. At 5:45 a.m., Skål Coffee is ready to serve coffee. Skål Classic Breakfasts are also available, including Housemade Back and Eggs on Toast, Avo on Toast, Egg on Toast, and Croissant Ham & Cheese, to name a few.

Breakfast Bowls, Bagels & Salads, and Padre Specialty Coffee are also available. Smoothies, brewed tea, and sticky chai blends are available as well.

You're probably wondering what "Skål" stands for. It's a toast or salute to good times and great friends. The Scandinavian word for "good health" or "cheers." So, if you want to get an excellent start to your day, go to Peregian Beach.

Kellys

If you have children, you will dine at a family-friendly restaurant. Kellys is in Peregian Village Square.

Kellys is an excellent place for the whole family to enjoy great, simple food. The restaurant serves a modern Australian menu full of beautifully prepared dishes ranging from calamari to chicken chorizo salad. Breakfast is served daily from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Kellys. And while you wait for your food, your children can run around on the village green to their hearts' content. However, Kellys' also has an indoor play area with toys, a small slide, a house, and a TV.

Baked Poetry Cafe

Do you like loaves of bread and cakes? Baked Poetry Cafe, which specialises in gourmet European-style loaves of bread and cakes, is the ideal location. All of the food and dishes served are made in their store, particularly the loaves of bread. They also make their hummus, pesto, salad dressings, and tasty pickles. And they're all made with the highest-quality, fresh-from-the-market ingredients. You will surely enjoy their croissant, Chicken CLAT (chicken, lettuce, avocado, tomato and chive mayo on toasted flatbread), Poets Sandwich and more. You can pair your food choice with a hot drink or Baked Poetry’s Iced Coffee, which is a double shot of espresso coffee poured over our homemade ice cream on ice. Baked Poetry Cafe, open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, serves the best breakfast and lunch.

Periwinkle Restaurant

Periwinkle is another must-visit restaurant in Peregian Beach's lovely village square. The restaurant serves modern French Mediterranean cuisine, including fresh seafood, handcrafted sourdough loaves of bread, chargrilled beef, and seasonal vegetables. Affogato, Cafe Gourmand Creme Brulee, and Crepe Suzette are among the delicious desserts available at Periwinkle. Also, make sure to try a cup of Clandestino Roasters' exceptional coffee.

Monday through Sunday, Periwinkle Restaurant serves lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and dinner from 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Pitchfork Restaurant

Another restaurant serves modern Australian cuisine but with a seasonal menu. The sensational seasonal menu, fine wine selection, satisfying cocktails, and spectacular service at Pitchfork Restaurant, a light-filled venue with retro, wooden stools, provide an unforgettable culinary experience.

To name a few items on their Summertime 2022 menu, they have Smoked Ocean Trout, King Fish Sashimi, Spaghetti Vongole, Crispy Duck Maryland, and Braised Lamb Shoulder. The restaurant also serves delectable desserts like Roulade, a caramelised orange passionfruit coconut ice cream floss. They have Buttermilk Panna Cotta, which is sticky rum glazed apricots crostoli. Affogato with Liqueur is also available: espresso with vanilla bean ice cream and your choice of Frangelico or liqueur.

From Thursday to Sunday, Pitchfork Restaurant serves lunch, and from Wednesday to Saturday, it serves dinner. On Mondays and Tuesdays, the restaurant is closed.

Brown Rice Peregian Springs

Brown Rice Peregian Springs is where to go if you're craving Asian food, specifically Japanese food. The restaurant serves high-quality meals that are consistently delicious. Peregian Springs has a large selection of brown rice. There's something for everyone from rolls to nigiri, rice bowls, and noodles.

Try the Tiger Roll (chicken katsu avocado with special spicy sauce), Smoked Salmon Avocado Roll with Cream Cheese, or Volcano Roll (spicy cooked tuna with avocado). They also serve Fresh Salmon Nigiri, Fresh Scallop Nigiri, Inari Seaweed, and Seared Scallop Nigiri. If you're looking for a proper meal, they have rice bowls with salad and noodles – udon noodle soup and yakisoba.

Brown Rice Peregian Springs is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., except for Sunday, when it closes an hour earlier.

• 3 Bedroom Apartment – The apartment has one queen-sized bed, three single beds, and one trundle bed. These apartments can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests.
• 2 Bedroom (2 Bathroom) Premium Apartment – This premium apartment comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests. The main bedroom has a queen bed, built-in closets, and an ensuite bathroom, while the second bedroom has two single beds and built-in wardrobes.
