Don’t Miss These 2022 September Sunshine Coast Events

According to the Tourism Index Sentiment, the Sunshine Coast is the Most Loved Destination in the World. The scenery is unique and as varied as the experiences and people that call it home. You may go barefoot on the beach one minute and hike the historic peaks of the Glass House Mountains the next, enjoying locally grown food and the lush rainforest.
However, that's not all. Events abound on the Sunshine Coast, especially in September.
The Old Woman Ocean Ski Race
September 3
An iconic landmark of the Sunshine Coast is Old Woman Island. The islands' history involves various local myths that add to the region's character and charisma. Aside from that, there is a race you might want to catch. The Old Woman Ocean Ski Race, which starts at the Mooloolaba Spit, will test ski and OC paddlers on an 18-kilometre circuit that goes around Old Woman Island and back to Mudjimba, while SUP and prone board paddlers tackle an 8-kilometre course that is more appropriate for them. Join The Little Woman, a 5km race within the Mooloolaba Beach bay, if one of those options doesn't presently suit your paddling interests or skill.
The Noosa Classic Car Show
September 4
A group of enthusiasts organised 17 cars for the first "Classic Car Show" in 1988, which was the start of the Noosa Beach Classic Car Club. A 1905 Renault, a 1926 Bentley, and a 1926 Salmson race car were some of the first automobiles. There were 47 entries the following year and 120 for the third event. The event kept expanding, and now it's in its 34th year. So don't miss out!
