Mount Coolum National Park

The towering dome-shape of Mount Coolum is one of the Sunshine Coast hinterland’s most defining landmarks. If you’ve ever wondered what the views look like from the top, you can set off on a day of hiking and adventure in Mount Coolum National Park, just a short drive from our Peregian Beach accommodation.

You should allow roughly two hours to complete the Summit Walk, which leads you through lush forests and across rugged heath land to the 208 metre summit of the ancient volcanic dome. It’s a challenging hike, but worth it for the breathtaking views out over the coast that you’ll be rewarded with once you reach the top.

The park is home to a fascinating selection of wildflowers and rare trees, as well as a diverse collection of birds and animals. Don’t forget to add this spectacular natural wonder to your Sunshine Coast itinerary!
