Great Noosa Trail Walk

Do you have what it takes to conquer the Great Noosa Trail Walk? Then sign up and take the challenge.
The Great Noosa Trail Walk is a 3-day journey through the Noosa hinterland's farmlands, forests, national parks, lookouts and historic villages. Dedicated walking trails traverse the Noosa country towns of Cooroy, Kin Kin, Cooran and Pomona, with spectacular scenery and lookouts of the hinterland through to the ocean and lakes.
Complete the walk at your own pace, taking time along the way to enjoy the landscape, cafes, country pubs, antique shops and local characters. The nightly entertainment program takes place in Kin Kin and Cooran, with camping facilities available. Walkers are also welcome to organise their own accommodation at nearby B&Bs and guest houses.
A reasonable level of walking fitness is required, but this is not a race, with plenty of time to complete each day’s walk and trail guides to provide assistance and information about the history and landscape.
A shuttle bus will transfer all camping gear, and will be available to collect tired walkers at rest points along the way each day.
Numbers are limited to 150 walkers.
Day 1: Lakes, forests, high hills of Noosa and a country village – 22.5km. Start from the spectacular lakeside amphitheatre in Noosa Botanical Gardens on the shore of Lake Macdonald. Day 2: Follow the valleys of Kin Kin Creek before climbing up the rainforest plateau of Woondum National Park. Rest at the James McKane Lookout before descending into the historical village of Cooran.
Day 3: Mountain peaks and antique shopping in country villages – 20 km. Walk through Mt Tuchekoi National Park to base of Mt Cooroora, a great but safe challenge for the reasonably fit.
