The shnit CINEMAS program gives film fans an opportunity to watch a selection of 8 exquisite short films from all around the world that are nominated for the global competition of the international short film festival shnit.

In 2015 The J Noosa was the first venue in Australia to screen the shnit international film festival.

Shnit delivers a highest quality program of new and established international short films. shnit embraces diversity, originality and exchange between creators and an audience from different cultures and backgrounds. It is one of their main goals to actively increase the perception of short filmmaking by creating a multi-platform event for high quality short films. The festival is blessed with an enthusiastic and supportive audience around the world, which continues to grow each year.

The audience will operate as the jury and will choose the winner of the Flaming Faun award including a prize money of US $20,000.

shnit is a member festival of the Short Film Conference and operates within a code of conduct accepted and agreed upon by its network of short film festivals.
