The Peregian Beach Markets
Held on the first and third Sunday of every month, there’s something special about the Peregian Beach Markets which run from 7am for the early risers to 12:30pm for those of us that enjoy a Sunday sleep in. Held in Kingfisher Park there are dozens of eclectic stalls to explore, offering up a wide ranging variety of goods for purchase including arts and crafts, upcycled treasures, recycled and eco friendly finds, all things handmade, organic produce and homemade items that are both unique and beautiful. From coastal fashion to finding the perfect gift to bring home from your travels, locally sourced fresh ingredients for cooking up a storm with your full kitchen in our self-contained apartments, or you can even indulge in a massage! Local buskers perform live acoustic tracks for your pleasure as you leisurely stroll through the markets taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells from the food vendors and coffee cart. You’ll just adore this trendy little market. Find out more here.
Mount Emu
Did you know that the word Peregian is actually a local Aboriginal word for “Emu” and therefore it should come as no surprise that the beautiful Mount Emu in the Noosa National Park is just a short stroll from Peregian Beach. A gentle 20 minute stroll will take you to the top of Mount Emu from the base. Once you get to the mountain summit you won’t believe your eyes as you spot pods of whales breaching just off the coastline during the months of their annual migration along humpback highway. A wonderful memory to bring home with you from your Peregian Beach holiday.
Peregian Beach Village Square
Locals and visitors alike enjoy the quiet Peregian Beach Town Square where you can enjoy taking your time to browse the locals shops, or grab a bite to eat from the beautiful local eateries to enjoy out in the picnic area in the sunshine surrounded by greenery. Just a moment away you can check out the Veggie Village which is the local community garden which runs an array of wonderful workshops for anyone who has (or wishes they had) a green thumb.
